Food Donations for the Needy
    Each Sunday members bring canned or packaged food that
    is presented at the altar during the offering ceremony.  This
    food is taken to the Salvation Army office by a member who
    volunteers there and the food is distributed to the needy

    In addition, each Thanksgiving the parish gathers food and
    gift certificates to distribute to those who would not have a
    Thanksgiving feast without this assistance.

Food Preparation and Service for the Homeless
    Six times a year members of St. Peter's prepare and serve
    a lunch to individuals at the Prado Day Center in San Luis  
    Obispo.  Other organizations volunteer for this ministry on
    other days, assuring that the people who need it receive at
    least one nourishing meal every day.
